Vitamin C E300 (also known as Ascorbic Acid and Ascorbate) is a water-soluble vitamin, human body doesn't store it and need to get it from food, including citrus and other fruits, berries and vegetables. It is also a generic prescription medication and in some countries is sold as a non-prescription dietary supplement. As a therapy, it is used to prevent and treat scurvy, a disease caused by vitamin C deficiency. Vitamin C was discovered in 1912, isolated in 1928, and was the first vitamin to be chemically produced in 1933. As a vitamin, this material prevents scurvy and eye disease, helps fight bacterial infection, acts as an antioxidant, and protects against immune system problems. However, it can also be used in a range of industrial functions, as a preservative, plastics ingredient, or chlorine remover.
Application:
Vitamin C is used in a variety of industries, including the food and beverage, scientific, water, plastics, and cosmetics sectors.
