Salicylic Acid

Description:

Salicylic acid, a kind of organic acid, chemical formula C7H6O3, is a white crystalline powder, slightly soluble in cold water, easily soluble in hot water, ethanol, ether and acetone, soluble in hot benzene, mainly used as medicine, spices, dyes, pesticides, rubber additives and other important raw materials of fine chemicals.

Usage: 

1. Used as the standard, fluorescence indicator and complexation indicator for alkali and iodimetry titration.

2. Used in the rubber industry as an anti-coke agent and the production of ultraviolet absorber and blowing agent.

3. Used as a matching indicator, matching masking agent, titanium, zirconium, tungsten plasma color development agent and preservative.

4. Used as a complexing agent for electroplating or electroless plating.

5. Used as a cosmetic preservative, mainly used in toilet water, heat rash water, tonic water and other water cosmetics. 

6. Used as raw materials for pharmaceutical industry, for the preparation of aspirin, sodium salicylate,  salicylamide, analgesic, salicylate phenyl ester and other drugs. 

7. Used as an accelerator of epoxy resin curing, can also be used as a preservative, can also be used to prepare methyl salicylate, ethyl salicylate and other synthetic spices, can also be used as raw materials for the preparation of direct dyes and acid dyes in the dye industry, can also be used as rubber anti-coke agent, disinfectant, etc.
