Metronidazole, an organic compound with chemical formula C6H9N3O3, Metronidazole is an antibiotic that may be used to treat certain infections of the vagina, stomach, liver, skin, joints, brain and spinal cord, lungs, heart, or bloodstream.
Usage:
It is mainly used to treat or prevent systemic or local infections caused by the above anaerobic bacteria, such as abdominal cavity, digestive tract, female reproductive tract, lower respiratory tract, skin and soft tissue, bone and joint and other parts of anaerobic bacteria infection, and is also effective for sepsis, endocarditis, meningeal infection and colitis caused by antibiotics. Tetanus is often treated in combination with tetanus antitoxin. It can also be used for oral anaerobic bacteria infection.
